The Semois Valley National Park invites you to take part in a major woodland planting operation as part of its efforts to preserve our territory and the biodiversity it harbours. The action is completely paid for by the park and is open to everyone: private individuals, public authorities, farmers, businesses, etc.

Why plant woody plants?

Improve water quality by filtering pollutants before they reach the watercourse.
Protect flora and fauna, by providing natural habitats and corridors for many species.
Combat soil erosion by stabilising banks and land.
Enhance the beauty and landscape diversity of our valley, a natural heritage that we must preserve for future generations.
What are the eligibility conditions?
To take part in this initiative, you need to meet the following criteria:
Location: You must be located within the Semois Valley National Park. Find out if your planting project is located within the perimeter concerned by browsing this map.
Long-term commitment: As the person responsible for the project, you will have to commit to maintaining the plantations and facilities created for at least 20 years. This commitment guarantees the sustainability of the actions and the continuity of the benefits for the ecosystem.
Native species: To benefit from our support and financial aid, you will need to select the species from the list proposed. Together, we will draw up the planting plan based on this list, taking into account the soil and climate conditions and the objectives.
