EXPLORE, PROTECT, EXPERIENCE
An exceptionally
rich NATURAL area
The Semois Valley National Park is located in the south of Belgium, in the heart of Southern Ardenne and Gaume Natural Parks. It covers a single 28,903-hectare area, spread over eight municipalities: Bertrix, Bouillon, Chiny, Florenville, Herbeumont, Paliseul, Tintigny and Vresse-sur-Semois.
The rich landscape, historic built heritage, traditions, folklore and legends specific to the Semois Valley help forge a strong identity with a unique character.
This region is characterised above all by the great biodiversity concentrated here, due to the variety of exceptional environments found here (ancient and sloping forests, wild rivers, wetlands, etc.).
Gateways are being set up in each of the eight municipalities in the region. Until they open, tourist services will be provided by tourist offices.
