Nature parks, municipalities, associations... Numerous organisations have supported the Semois Valley National Park project and play an active role in carrying out its missions. We would like to introduce these partners to you.
PARTNERS of the Semois Valley National Park
The Southern Ardennes and Gaume NATURE PARKS
The Southern Ardennes and Gaume Nature Parks are the two organisations that nominated the Semois Valley following the call for projects launched by the Walloon Region for the creation of two National Parks in Wallonia.
The Semois Valley National Park lies at the heart of these two regions, and the Southern Ardennes and Gaume Nature Parks employ a large number of National Park project leaders. The National Park is also managed by the directors of these two organisations.
A real driving force behind the development and preservation of their region's assets, these two Nature Parks are key players in the Semois Valley National Park.

A special partnership with WWF-BELGIUM
The Gaume and Southern Ardennes Nature Parks have also entered into a strategic partnership with WWF-Belgium, which is also a member of the Regional Coalition.
The latter aims to establish a long-term collaboration (5 years) to develop and implement all the necessary and useful initiatives to strengthen otter and lynx populations in the geographical area defined as part of the Semois Valley National Park project and in the surrounding areas.
The otter and the lynx are so-called "umbrella" species, which means that they promote overall biodiversity in the region.
