THE JAMBON (HAM) VIEWPOINT
THE JAMBON VIEWPOINT PRESENTATION SHEET
The JAMBON
viewpoint
Located between Membre and Bohan (Vresse-sur-Semois), the Jambon viewpoint offers a splendid view overlooking a long loop of the Semois, the shape of which evokes that of a ham, a traditional Ardennes cold cut.
All around the viewpoint is another "National Park", which is actually a nature reserve created and managed by our partner Ardenne et Gaume. This area, rich in habitats and species, is home to a series of natural curiosities with picturesque names: le Ravin du Sautou (the Ravine of the Sautou), le Châtelet (the Little Castle), la Cheminée (the Hearth), le Trou de l’Homme Sauvage (Wild Man’s Hole), la Roche la Dame (The Lady Rock), la Table des Fées et ses Arbres Fiancés (The Fairies’ Table and its Betrothed Trees).
